Most image types (jpeg, gif) are already compressed. Adding them to a zip archive won't gain you much (if anything) in reduced upload time - is it the convenience factor you're after?

pretty much it would be nice to upload a whole folder than each pic seperate

We'll take a look at it. You can upload up to 10 photos at once, though.

love the new photos feature - but the comment field is very small - will it stay so small? and if it does, can the space you write a comment in be adjusted accordingly so that a comment you leave doesnt get cut off mid word?

Luvin it!!! Great idea,fantastic to see it implemented at last, as Jamie said could the comment field be raised to 100 characters rather that the 50? its at already..as its really hard to leave a beautifully complimentary comment in 50 letters.

??? Comments field is really big & multiple lines. There are two fields - subject and comment - are you only seeing one of them?

when i leave a comment both the subject line and comment box show up,and when leaving a comment it lets me type lots, but only the first 50 characters show up once the comment has been left

Yes

Only single line of text is visible when viewing comments. It doesn't stop you from typing a long comment, just viewing them...it cuts it off.

FireFox 3 issues?

Codemonkey, have you checked the photo upload feature with Firefox 3 yet? I've had a couple of users report that Step 2 is coming up as a empty page (just the templates for the rest of the site). I don't have FF3 but it works fine on IE7 and FF2, just curious. Anybody else having this issue?

We test in both FF3 and Safari and haven't been able to replicate the problem. What platform are you on - Linux? Do you have any blockers turned on?
